Not too many people love to clean house. Unless you are a clean freak and actually enjoy it, it’s just a necessary evil. It’s not fun, but it has to be done. There are a few home organization tips for cleaning that can help trim that time down and make cleaning easier.

Unless your house is small, it is simpler to have duplicate cleaning products. Store one set downstairs and one upstairs. Even if you live in a one story house, keeping cleaning products in each bathroom can save you time. It keeps you from running from one end of the house to the other to get something you forgot the first time.

Another idea is to keep cleaning products in a bucket and take it with you as you clean. Use a multipurpose cleaner when possible. This will lessen the amount of cleaners that are necessary.

When possible, keep products relative to a room in that room. For instance, don’t store kitchen cleaning products in the bathroom closet. It is more convenient to keep cleaning products in the room where they are needed rather than all in one place.

No matter where you store your cleaning products, make sure they are out of the reach of children. Always keep them high, out of reach or in a locked cabinet. Make sure the lock on the cabinet is durable if you decide to keep them in a locked cabinet. A preschooler can figure out the pressure release lock. When cleaning, make sure the bucket full of cleaners stays out of the reach of children.

These are just a few home organization tips to make cleaning quicker. The kinds of products you have and where you store them can lessen your cleaning time.
